Transport and Delivery Tools

We use insulated transport and delivery tools that conform to PIC/S GDP, a standard for
the proper distribution of pharmaceuticals to achieve safe and reliable pharmaceutical distribution.

Developed tools for the transport and delivery of refrigerated items

The alf-GDP-®Shipper is used for deliveries to medical institutions and can maintain between 2℃ and 8℃ for at least 8 hours. The aluminum inner wall processing to eliminate temperature inconsistencies and heat storage sheets prevent temperature deviations.

The alf-GDP-®Container used for transport to and from our business locations does not require a power supply and maintains temperatures between 2℃ and 8℃ for at least 12 hours. The container is equipped with high-performance vacuum insulation panel (VIP) for high-precision temperature control for longer hours

Having accumulated appropriate temperature control technology based on scientific evidence, we have developed and introduced delivery tools for various temperature ranges (from under -150℃ to 40℃).

Validation of transport and delivery tools

At Alfresa Corporation’s research facility (Temperature Control Technology Laboratory), we develop technology and equipment to ensure that temperatures are maintained under various temperature conditions. We also test temperature, vibration, and shock during transport, as well as validate transport tools used.

Demand Management through
Case Identification

For products in which only a small number of patients apply, we accurately identify demand trends and optimize inventory and distribution through managing the number of cases at each medical institution. A case management system is also incorporated to provide treatment support, to identify demands by case, and to utilize distribution data.

Administration schedule identification
and linking information

To ensure that patients can always receive reliable optimal medical care, we manage administration schedules for products that require regular administration (management of administration interval). We also link information with pharmaceutical companies to utilize the accumulated administration and distribution data to contribute toward achieving a better healthcare system.

Optimization of distribution through demand forecasting

We forecast product demand by identifying the number of cases at each medical institution and managing the administration schedule for each patient through the system. By optimizing distribution based on forecasts, we deliver what is needed, where it is needed, and in the quantities needed.

Disease Awareness Activities

To bring out smiles from patients through our network of
pharmaceutical wholesalers

“To raise awareness.” With this as our slogan, we are pushing forward the Smile Project to raise disease awareness and provide treatment support. Through our activities, we hope to bring out as many smiles as possible by swiftly delivering therapeutic drugs to patients with rare or intractable diseases.
